Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer to support project delivery across commercial, high-rise and data centre sectors. You will attend meetings, coordinate with CAD/BIM teams, and supervise day-to-day activities to ensure on-time progress.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering, at least 3 years' relevant experience, and proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. You will prepare design and tender documents, liaise with clients and authorities, and

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in M&E consultancy for senior position, preferably in commercial, high-rise, industrial, healthcare, or data centre projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in job-related meetings, appointments, site visits, authorities’ offices, and other duties as assigned.
• Lead and coordinate with internal teams, including CAD/BIM departments, for assigned projects.
• Responsible for engineering design, tender documentation, Bills of Quantities (BQ), progress claims, technical reports, and statutory submissions to authorities.
• Manage and supervise day-to-day project activities, providing technical guidance to ensure smooth and timely project delivery.
• Liaise closely with Clients, Architects, other Consultants, Authorities, and Contractors to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure all design works comply with design briefs, statutory requirements, and relevant codes and standards.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in accordance with ISO standards and internal procedures.
• Assist Directors and seniors in project planning, coordination, and technical matters when required.

Job Requirements

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.

Independent, self-motivated, responsible, and able to work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced consultancy environment.

The stated salary range is indicative. Remuneration above RM7,500 may be considered for suitably qualified candidates with strong experience and expertise.
