Job summary

AGENSI PEKERJAAN GLOBAL HIRE SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with AEM and Energy Isolation experience to join our Cyberjaya project team.

You will lead electrical installation, review drawings, and manage energy isolation, safety, testing, and commissioning for MEP systems. The role requires hands-on coordination, thorough knowledge of LOTO, PTW, MS and RA, and the ability to ensure safe energisation and safe working practices on site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience as Electrical Engineer in construction, MEP, industrial, data centre, or large-scale projects.
• AEM/Energy Isolation experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise electrical installation and construction activities at the project site.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, specs, method statements, and other technical documents.
• Establish and support Energy Isolation Program, including LOTO processes.
• Identify hazardous energy sources before construction, testing, commissioning, maintenance, or operations.
• Review PTW, MS, and RA documentation for safety compliance.
• Verify effectiveness of energy isolation measures and adherence to procedures.
• Ensure safe working conditions before testing and validating MEP installations.
• Coordinate energisation, isolation, testing, and commissioning with project teams.
• Ensure contractors comply with Energy Isolation and LOTO policies.

Electrical Engineer (AEM / Energy Isolation Experience)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer with AEM / Energy Isolation experience to join our construction project team in Cyberjaya. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical engineering works, site coordination, energy isolation, electrical safety, and supporting testing and commissioning activities for MEP systems. Candidates must have relevant experience in AEM-related activities, particularly Energy Isolation, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit to Work (PTW), and electrical safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise electrical installation and construction activities at the project site.
• Review electrical drawings, shop drawings, specifications, method statements, and other relevant technical documents.
• Establish, implement, and support the Energy Isolation Program, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) processes and procedures.
• Identify and verify potential electrical and other hazardous energy sources before construction, testing, commissioning, maintenance, or operational activities.
• Review relevant safety documentation, including Permit to Work (PTW), Method Statements (MS), and Risk Assessments (RA).
• Verify the effectiveness of energy isolation measures and ensure all isolation activities are carried out according to approved procedures.
• Ensure safe working conditions are established before testing and validating the installation, operation, and performance of MEP systems.
• Coordinate electrical energisation, isolation, testing, and commissioning activities with relevant project teams.
• Ensure contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties comply with established Energy Isolation and LOTO policies and procedures.
• Monitor electrical installation quality, construction progress, and compliance with project requirements.

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Relevant working experience as an Electrical Engineer in construction, MEP, industrial, data centre, or large-scale engineering projects.
• AEM / Energy Isolation experience is required.
• Practical experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Energy Isolation procedures is required.
• Familiar with Permit to Work (PTW), Method Statements (MS), Risk Assessments (RA), and relevant safety documentation.
• Good understanding of electrical systems, electrical safety, energisation, isolation, and safe working procedures.
• Able to read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, shop drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Good understanding of construction site electrical works and coordination.
• Strong safety awareness and ability to identify electrical and energy-related risks.
• Good communication, coordination, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exposure to large-scale construction and engineering projects
