Job summary

KTA Tenaga Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design electrical, ELV and vertical transportation systems for diverse projects including commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial and data centers. You will perform design calculations, liaise with clients and stakeholders, and prepare tender and contract documentation.

Candidates should have 2–5 years of local consultancy experience or be a fresh graduate; a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering and BEM Graduate

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of working experience as a Electrical Design Engineer in a local engineering consultancy.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proven experience in designing electrical systems for commercial, residential, healthcare, industrial, and/or data center projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) as a Graduate Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Electrical Systems Design: Design electrical systems, including Electrical, Extra-Low Voltage (ELV), and Vertical Transportation systems.
• Design Calculations: Perform calculations to support and justify design decisions.
• Client and Stakeholder Interaction: Represent the company in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Tender Documentation: Prepare tender documentation and tender assessments.
• Contract Administration: Assess contractor submissions, ensuring compliance with design specifications and drawings, preparing progress payment certificates, and assessing variation works.
