Job summary

PERSTIMA Berhad in Pasir Gudang, Malaysia is seeking a maintenance engineer to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment, troubleshoot faults, and minimize downtime.

You will support installation, commissioning, modification and improvement works, maintain records, provide guidance to technicians, and participate in projects and audits. This position offers growth opportunities within a public-listed tinplate producer.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and minimize equipment downtime.
• Monitor and maintain motors, control panels, PLCs, sensors and related equipment.
• Support electrical installation, commissioning, modification and improvement works.
• Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure electrical works comply with safety and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for maintenance and project activities.
• Maintain maintenance records, technical documents and reports.
• Provide technical support and guidance to maintenance technicians.
• Participate in engineering projects, audits and continuous improvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the superior.
