Job summary

HS Global Manufacturing Sdn Bhd is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, execute and oversee electrical systems for manufacturing, infrastructure, and engineering projects. You will work with cross-functional teams, main contractors and clients to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a degree in Electrical Engineering, 2–3 years of hands-on experience in building services, and proficiency in AutoCAD, ePLAN or ETAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or closely related discipline.
• 2–3 years of hands-on electrical building services experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ePLAN, ETAP or equivalent software.
• Strong understanding of power distribution systems, control panels, switchgear and UPS.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; familiar with local submission processes and codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and modify electrical designs (SLDs, schematics, wiring, cable routing) using 2D CAD or electrical design software.
• Perform load analysis, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit calculations and protection relay settings.
• Supervise electrical works from design to procurement, installation and on-site commissioning.
• Monitor timelines, milestones and material usage to ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate with suppliers, fabricators, subcontractors and clients for technical alignment and issue resolution.
• Program and monitor on-site electrical fabrication, installation and supervise technicians and subcontractors.
• Lead testing, inspection and commissioning of LV/MV equipment, switchboards and power distribution systems.
• Lead FAT/SAT for critical assets like switchgear, transformers and generators.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical glitches to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and ISO quality audits to ensure conformance with drawings.
