Job summary

CLLS Engineering seeks an Electrical Engineer to interpret schematics, troubleshoot diesel generator sets, and perform tests and commissioning at client sites.

The role requires 2–5 years of experience, a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, and Proficiency in English. You will work on Volvo/Perkins/Doosan/MTU engines and handle control panels, voltage regulators, and safety-critical tasks in on-site environments.

Qualifications

• Candidates must possess a Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or higher.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning of diesel generator sets.
• Experience with Volvo, Perkins, Doosan, MTU and other diesel engines (20-3000kVA).
• Proficiency in English is compulsory.
• Strong problem-solving abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, inter-connection wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Troubleshoot and repair diesel generator sets and perform functional tests.
• Perform generator testing including load bank tests and voltage changes as required.
• Install, service, and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and wiring for gensets.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of generator equipment.
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards around gensets.

Job description

Electrical Engineer

• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Able to interpret engineering drawings, inter-connection wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics and able to do troubleshooting of Generator Set.
• Excellent communication skills based on customer retention.
• Perform generator functional test and load bank tests on diesel generators.
• Diagnose and repair any issues found during Genset testing.
• Perform voltage changes on generators based on customer requirements.
• Re-wire, adjust and install control panels and voltage regulators.
• Adjust speed controls and various settings in programming.
• Installs, services and repairs lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets and Generator set wiring.
• Perform testing and commissioning of Genset at site.
• Perform preventive maintenance of power generator equipment including but not limited to oil and filter changes and part replacement.
• Perform servicing of generator, change oil and filters.
• Identified and alleviated potential safety hazards around the genset.

Work Experience:

• Candidates must possess a minimum Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent or higher.
• Minimum 2-5 years of work experience in the electrical installation, trouble shooting, testing and commissioning of diesel generator set.
• Experience with Volvo, Perkins, Doosan, MTU and other diesel engines ranging from 20-3000kVA;
• Knowledge of the English language is compulsory.
• Candidates must possess a strong ability in problem solving.
