Job summary

SHBT Services Sdn Bhd in Malaysia invites an experienced Electrical Engineer for a one-year contract to support oil and gas projects, including PETRONAS facilities. You will handle electrical design, site supervision, testing, commissioning, and project coordination.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, at least five years' relevant experience, and good English and Bahasa Malaysia. Travel to project sites, outstation work, and training opportunities are included.

Qualifications

• Experience on PETRONAS projects/facilities an added advantage.
• Familiar with AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
• Good communication, documentation, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents.

• Prepare progress reports, inspection records, test reports, and handover documents.

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team on a one-year contract basis. Our company undertakes various engineering projects in the oil and gas industry, including projects for PETRONAS facilities and operations. The successful candidate will be involved in electrical engineering, project coordination, site supervision, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and review electrical drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documents.

Coordinate electrical work for oil and gas projects.

Supervise electrical installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

About you

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

Minimum five years of relevant working experience in electrical engineering.

Experience in the oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial, or engineering sector is preferred.

Experience working on PETRONAS projects or facilities will be an added advantage.

Good knowledge of electrical systems, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and relevant engineering software.

Good communication, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Able to communicate effectively in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Able to work independently and as part of a project team.

Willing to travel, work outstation, and attend project sites when required.
