Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a New Grad Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineer to design and develop highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission-critical markets including government and industrial segments.

You will work with RF, digital controller, power and audio circuits, using ADS/CST and Mentor Graphics/Cadence SI for modeling before PCB fabrication. Training provided to grow in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering; MSc/MEng or PhD is a plus.
• Familiarity with RF/digital controller/audio measurement equipment is required.
• Experience with ADS/PSPICE/SI tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for design & development of highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission-critical markets.
• Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software (ADS/CST and Mentor Graphics and Cadence SI) before PCB layout fabrication.
• Work with a team of engineers to generate innovative ideas and design systems including infrastructure, subscribers and accessories meeting customer requirements.
• RF sub-circuits involve receivers, transmitters, VCOs, amplifiers, filters and mixers; digital sub-circuits include microcontrollers and LCDs.
• Training will be provided where necessary.

Job Description

• Responsible for the design & development of highly-sophisticated communication products for professional and mission critical markets in the commercial, government and industrial segments.

• Utilize Modeling & Simulation Software to create and evaluate designs, including RF simulation in ADS/CST and Digital Signal Integrity simulation in Mentor Graphics and Cadence SI tool, prior to releasing the PCB layout Gerber for fabrication.

• Work with a team of highly-qualified engineers to generate innovative ideas and design communication systems which include infrastructure, subscribers and accessories that meet customer requirements. Engineers will be working on sub-circuits that consist of RF, digital controller, power and audio circuits.

• RF sub-circuits involve receivers, transmitters, VCOs, amplifiers, filters and mixers circuit; while digital and controller sub-circuits include microcontroller, logics and LCD circuits. As for power, audio and signaling circuits, it consists of batteries, voltage regulators, audio amplifiers, filters, speakers and microphones.

• Training will be provided where necessary.

Basic Requirements

• At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Communication Engineering, or related disciplines. Advanced degrees with MSc/M.Eng or PhD specializing in areas relevant to product design will be an added advantage.
• Must have a basic understanding in RF/digital controller/audio related fields depending on the area of work the candidate is applying.
• Must know how to utilize RF/digital controller/audio measuring equipments, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters.
• Simulation experience in ADS/PSPICE/SI tool is an added advantage.
