Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Electric & Electronic Engineer to design, develop, test, and implement electrical and electronic systems for light construction and agricultural machinery.

You will collaborate with mechanical and mechatronics engineers, create wiring diagrams and PCB layouts, perform simulations and prototyping, and ensure compliance with CE and ISO standards.

Job Title: Electric & Electronic Engineer

Reports To: Electric & Electronic (Mentor) Consultant / R&D & Engineering Manager
Location: Malaysia
Job Type: Full-Time

Objective:

To design, develop, test, and implement electrical and electronic systems for light construction and agricultural machinery that enhance product safety, efficiency, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical schematics, circuits, and control systems for machinery.
• Collaborate with mechanical and mechatronics engineers to integrate systems.
• Conduct simulations, prototyping, and performance evaluations of systems.
• Develop wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and BOMs.
• Work with vendors to source components and evaluate new technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical/electronic system failures.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards (CE, ISO).
• Assist in preparing technical documentation and product manuals.
• Support production team on testing, installation, and commissioning.
• Provide support in field trials and performance feedback loops.

Daily Tasks:

• Attend technical and project meetings
• Review electrical system designs or PCB files
• Support prototyping and debugging
• Coordinate with mechanical designers and assembly team
• Update documentation in ERP or PLM system

Weekly Tasks:

• Progress reporting to Product Design Team Leader
• Review component lead times and supplier specs
• Assist in design validations and test plans
• Participate in design reviews and continuous improvements

Monthly Tasks:

• Conduct FMEA or risk analysis for new designs
• Evaluate cost-efficiency of existing E&E components
• Research technological advancements or competitor systems
