Job summary

IOB Technology Sdn Bhd seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to conceptualize and develop electrical panels and systems compliant with client specifications and standards. You will prepare SLDs, schematic drawings, BOMs, and engineering calculations, while supporting project teams with technical clarifications.

Work includes site visits, design optimization, and collaboration across Production, Procurement, Sales, Quality, and Site teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Registered as Graduate Engineer with BEM or in process.
• Fresh graduates encouraged; 1–3 years’ experience advantageous.
• Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and prepare technical documentation for electrical panels and systems.
• Develop SLDs, schematic drawings, BOMs, calculations, and method statements.
• Ensure designs comply with client specs, standards, and QMS.
• Provide design clarification and support to project teams, clients, and suppliers.
• Attend site visits for surveys, installation support, testing, and commissioning when required.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective engineering solutions.
