Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an EHS Assistant to support the implementation of environment, health and safety programs at our Bukit Minyak site in Penang. The role covers safety inspections, documentation, training support and regulatory compliance.

You will assist in maintaining EHS records, coordinating trainings, and participating in emergency readiness activities to ensure a safe workplace for all employees.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Science or related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic knowledge of OSHA, Environmental Quality Act and other Malaysian regulations.
• Good communication, documentation and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) activities and programs.
• Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and report unsafe conditions.
• Monitor employee's compliance with PPE and safe work practices.
• Maintain EHS records, reports and documentation.
• Assist in environmental activities, including scheduled waste management.
• Support EHS training, safety inductions and safety awareness programs.
• Inspect emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid boxes and spill kits.
• Assist in emergency drills and emergency response activities.
• Support internal audits and regulatory inspections.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely completion.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the EHS Engineer or Management.
