Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Safety and Health Officer to join our on-site team in Penang. You will uphold occupational safety and health standards, conduct audits, and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in environmental, safety and health and knowledge of applicable laws, with the ability to implement mitigations and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in environmental, safety and health related field.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health law and regulation.
• Experience enforcing safety on-site.
• Communicate injury and illness updates and mitigations.
• Conduct internal audits and provide improvements.
• Manage contractors' safety enforcement.
• Ensure readiness of the ERT.
• Maintain safe systems and be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Enforce on-site safety and health compliance with contractors.
• Schedule and perform internal safety audits and report findings.
• Communicate regular injury/illness updates and mitigations.
• Ensure readiness of the Emergency Response Team and safe systems.
