Job summary

VS Industry Bhd is seeking an Asst Officer - Safety/ EHS in Senai, Johor to support OSH compliance and EHS program execution. You will assist in liaising with authorities, developing policies, coordinating safety initiatives, and conducting audits.

The role requires a strong grasp of OSHA, CSR knowledge, and ISO 14001 awareness. You will organize training, drills, and safety awareness, while preparing monthly EHS reports and ensuring timely corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA and related legal requirements.
• Knowledge of CSR and ISO 14001 is preferred.
• Ability to work independently with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willing to work in Senai, Johor.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with government authorities to ensure OSH and other statutory compliance.
• Develop, implement, and review OSH policies, SWP, and JSA documentation.
• Coordinate safety, health, and environmental programs within the workplace.
• Conduct meetings, inspections, and safety audits; prepare minutes and reports.
• Prepare monthly EHS reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Monitor and analyze EHS data to ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Organize safety training, drills, and awareness programs for employees.
• Ensure ISO 14001 and other EHS management system requirements where applicable.
