Job summary

Ketton Facility Management Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced EHS Safety Officer to manage production risk, environmental health and emergency response at our Rawang site. You will lead risk assessments, implement lockout/tagout, and develop safety procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.

The role requires coordinating inspections, maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems, conducting training, and reporting incidents with root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Two to five years of relevant EHS experience; experience in lithium-ion battery, electronics or other manufacturing operations is preferred.
• If designated Safety and Health Officer, valid DOSH Malaysia (Green Book) registration is required; NIOSH SHO certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of lithium-ion battery processes and safety controls including thermal runaway, fire and chemical handling.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EHS reporting systems; good written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Participate in risk identification across production lines and ensure hazard controls reflect site conditions.
• Lead safety inspections of equipment and facilities and manage corrective actions.
• Maintain a closed-loop hazard-control process with owners, deadlines and verification criteria.
• Develop and maintain HIRARC, JSA, LOTO, MOC and safe operating procedures.
• Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementation, internal audits and management reviews.
• Investigate incidents, prepare reports and drive corrective/preventive actions.
