Job summary

Samsung SDI Energy Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking a Health, Safety and Environment professional to monitor daily WWTP operations and waste management while ensuring legal, safety, and SOP compliance across vendor activities.

You will support HQ and ISO audits, perform environmental monitoring and reporting, and manage risk prevention. Collaboration with internal teams and government authorities is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health or related science discipline.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) audit frameworks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise confidently with internal teams, third-party contractors, and government enforcement officers (DOE/DOSH).
• Strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operation and chemical management.
• Monitor daily general wastes and scheduled waste operation.
• Monitor daily in-house vendors' work operation, ensuring legal, safety and SOP compliance.
• Arrange and approve daily waste disposal.
• Conduct vendor external site audits and assessments for annual waste contract renewal and vendor selection.
• Support HQ audits, ISO audits, and customer audits.
• Monitor all legal requirement assessments in line with plan for Environment Section.
• Ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH and related local authorities.
• Environmental monitoring and reporting.
• Manage environmental risk and incident prevention activities.
• Maintain 3R5S, My Caring Area at Environment Area.
• Assist Environment Team.
