Job summary

Saint-Gobain Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an EHS Executive to assist the Country EHS Manager in implementing and maintaining EHS systems and procedures. The role involves liaising with local authorities, ensuring compliance with EHS laws, and improving related documentation and programs.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or professional safety certificate, be enthusiastic, independent, and capable of enforcing safety actions with strong communication and interpersonals.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Country EHS Manager in implementation and maintenance of the EHS.
• Assist the Country EHS Manager in dealing with local authorities in EHS matters.
• Assist the Country EHS Manager in ensuring compliance to EHS legislations.
• Assist in establishing, developing, issuing, maintaining, and improving EHS documents including manuals and procedures.
• Control, manage and improve PPE and safety equipment matters.
• Carry out enforcement on EHS matters according to schedule.
• Report, investigate and follow up accidents and incidents with corrective actions.
• Conduct inspections, talks, trainings, and briefings to employees, visitors, contractors, etc.
• Maintain EHS information board.
• Plan, implement, monitor, and report EHS improvement programs.

Job description

Assist the Country EHS Manager in all aspects of implementation and maintenance of the EHS.

Assist the Country EHS Manager in dealing with local authorities in all matters related to EHS.

Assist the Country EHS Manager in ensuring compliance to EHS legislations.

Assist the Country EHS Manager in establish, develop, issue, maintenance, and improvement of all EHS documents including Manuals and procedures.

Control, manage and improve all related matters pertaining to personal protective equipment and safety equipment.

Carry out enforcement on EHS matters according to schedule.

Report, investigate and follow up all accidents and incidents as well as its corrective & preventive actions and maintaining the data.

Carry out inspections, line talks, training, briefings to employees, visitors, contractors, etc. as necessary.

Maintain EHS related information board.

Plan, implement, monitor, and report all relevant EHS improvement programs.

The EHS Executive is responsible for and has the authority to:

Initiate action to ensure compliance with the EHS policy.

Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to problems, corrective/Preventive Actions through designated channels.

Verify implementation of such solutions.

Control further activities until any EHS deficiency or activities corrected.

Implement and record changes in documented procedures resulting from corrective and preventive actions,

Carry out any additional duties as and when required, which is not specified above.

Requirements:

Poses at least a bachelor’s degree or professional certificate in Safety.

Trained on EHS issues such as legal, system and auditing.

Enthusiasm and independent

Ability to carry out enforcement and has good communication & interpersonal skills.
