Job summary

VERTIV (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives across manufacturing sites.

The role focuses on developing and enforcing EHS programs in line with OSHA 1994, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, while coordinating with regulatory bodies such as DOSH and DOE. Responsibilities include risk assessments, emergency planning, contractor safety management, and training to build a proactive EHS culture and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Experience implementing EHS management systems in manufacturing environments.
• Professional certifications in safety management are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety management systems aligned with local and international standards.
• Establish EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions for manufacturing processes and high-risk activities.
• Create permit-to-work systems for confined spaces, hot work, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Design emergency response plans, drills, and fire safety protocols; act as incident commander as needed.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigations; drive corrective actions and preventive measures.
