Job summary

Kerry Malaysia is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) to drive EHS excellence across manufacturing operations. The role ensures compliance with Malaysian regulations, Kerry Global Standards, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and leads continuous improvement to foster a strong safety culture.

The successful candidate will lead internal audits, manage EMS and OHSMS, and coordinate hazards, permits, incident investigations, and drills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Chemistry, or related field.
• 6+ years in a technical EHS/OSH role in a multinational manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the site EHS strategy and promote a strong safety culture.
• Serve as Internal Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001; support MR responsibilities.
• Maintain and improve ISO 14001 EMS and ISO 45001 OHSMS.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (OSHA 2022, Environmental Quality Act, DOE, DOSH, BOMBA).
• Manage permits, monitoring, emissions, wastewater, and waste requirements.
• Lead HIRARC, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Implement PTW systems (Confined Space, Hot Work, LOTO, Work at Height).
• Provide guidance on machine guarding and risk control measures.
• Lead fall protection programs and process safety initiatives.
• Support emergency planning and drills.
• Drive contractor safety programs.
