Job summary

Lam Research Corporation seeks an EH&S Engineer to develop, implement, and monitor environmental safety programs across manufacturing and warehouse settings in Malaysia. You will ensure regulatory compliance, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste processes while liaising with regulatory agencies.

You will lead risk assessments, supervise EHS training for employees and contractors, and drive safety initiatives including ergonomics and equipment safety.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience in EHS in manufacturing and warehouse environments.
• Experience in new start-up environments and with contractor safety/warehouse safety.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic risk assessment and controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development, planning and implementation of EHS policies and procedures from expansion activities to sustaining operations.
• Ensure compliance with DOE, DOSH, Fire Service Department and other agencies; governance of EHS requirements.
• Maintain scheduled EHS activities and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate EHS training for employees and contractors on topics like ergonomics, hazardous materials, fall protection, and lockout/tagout; conduct trainings as needed.
• Perform proactive EHS risk assessments and implement corrective actions for manufacturing and logistics activities.
• Audit contractor safety to ensure compliance with EHS policies and legal requirements.
• Provide governance through routine EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations and closure.
• Lead Accident Prevention Programs and EHS promotional activities.
• Lead Ergonomic Risk Reduction, CoHE, Equipment Safety, and Contractor Safety programs with stakeholder involvement.

The impact you’ll make

At Lam, as an EH&S Engineer, you're instrumental in developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies. Ensuring compliance with regulations, you'll perform safety inspections, conduct trainings, and oversee hazardous waste vendors and processes. Your expertise spans life safety, workplace ergonomics, and monitoring industrial health compliance. Acting as a liaison with regulatory agencies you'll not only stay current but also reinforce Lam's commitment to safety and environmental compliance.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee the development, planning and implementation of EHS policies and procedures from expansion activities to sustaining operations
• Governance in compliance with all applicable EHS requirements and handles interactions with DOE, DOSH, Fire Service Department and all other applicable agencies.
• Ensuring scheduled management in compliance with DOE Requirement
• Ensure EHS training programs for employees in areas such as ergonomics, hazardous material handling, fall protection, control of hazardous energies, emergency response, and other identified compliance training needs. Conduct EHS training for employees and contractors as per the EHS training needs
• Conduct proactive EHS risk assessment reviews and ensures appropriate corrective actions are taken to mitigate identified risks for manufacturing and logistic activities
• Audit Conctractor Safety to ensure the activities conducted is complying with EHS corporate and local legal requirement.
• Provides governance by conducting routine EHS compliance inspections, incident investigations and final closure
• Facilitate effective Accident Prevention Program and EHS promotional activities
• Leading Ergonomic Risk Reduction Program, CoHE, Equipment Safety, Logistic Safety and Contractor's Safety Program with involvement by stakeholder

Who We’re Looking For

• Experience:
  • 8-12 years of working experience in EHS field in manufacturing and warehouse
  • Experience in new start-up company, Contractor's Safety, Warehouse Safety
  • Well versed with Hazardous Energy Control, Equipment Safety, Material Handling Equipment Safety, Ergonomic Risk Assessment and Controls

• Ability to apply EHS standards and regulatory knowledge to business decisions
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams to meet EHS objectives and an accident‑free workplace
