Job summary

Teach For Malaysia is seeking a dynamic Coach for Fellows to guide a 2-year leadership development programme across placement schools. You will provide personalised coaching, lead professional learning communities, and collaborate with mentors and school leaders to maximise student outcomes.

The role requires 2+ years of teaching and strong coaching, data-analysis, and cross-stakeholder collaboration skills, with travel across regions and weekend engagements when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in under-resourced or high-need schools.
• Understanding of coaching principles, learning cycles, and adult development.
• Experience in facilitating training or group learning sessions.
• Ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data to inform coaching and instructional improvements.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently (owning a car is an added advantage).
• Bachelor's degree in any field with PGCE or DPLI.

Responsibilities

• Coach Fellows in leadership and pedagogical development through regular visits and coaching conversations.
• Guide Fellows in setting and achieving ambitious student and leadership goals.
• Build and facilitate PLCs, training sessions, and reflection spaces.
• Monitor Fellows progress by analyzing data and adjust coaching strategies.
• Collaborate with school administrators, mentors, and education stakeholders to support placement schools.
• Align Fellow development with national strategies and regional context.
