Job summary

Fuku by Momofuku in Kuala Lumpur invites an Education Counsellor to join the pioneer team of a leading international education group as it opens its first branch in Kuala Lumpur. You will help Malaysian students apply to universities overseas, mainly UK, Australia and Commonwealth countries, and build the local business from day one.

Candidates with about 2 years in study abroad sales or consulting, Mandarin ability, and a track record of meeting targets are encouraged to apply; English or

Qualifications

• Approximately 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency.
• Experience sending students overseas to destinations such as the UK or Australia is required.
• Proven sales track record and comfort with targets.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken) for daily work with management.

Job description

We are looking for Education Counsellor to join the pioneer team of a leading international education group as it opens its first branch in Kuala Lumpur.

This role is suitable for candidates with around 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency. You will help Malaysian students apply to universities overseas, mainly in the UK, Australia and other Commonwealth countries, and play a key part in building the local business from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle inquiries from students and parents
• Provide consultation on overseas study options, destinations and application pathways
• Follow up on leads and convert them into signed clients
• Manage service contract signing and collect client application documents
• Check documents for accuracy and completeness before handover to the documentation team
• Keep clients updated throughout the application process and maintain long-term relationships
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Requirements

• Around 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency
• Experience sending students overseas (e.g. UK, Australia) is required
• Proven sales track record and comfortable working with targets
• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken) for daily work with the management team
• English or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage
• Good communication, follow-up and negotiation skills
• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Education, Marketing, English or a related field

• Existing network with local schools, colleges or education channels
• Experience with UK, Australia, New Zealand or Canada university applications
• Exposure to education fairs, school talks or channel partnerships
