Job summary

GTS Consulting in Kuala Lumpur is recruiting an Education Counsellor to help Malaysian students pursue overseas study, mainly in the UK, Australia and other Commonwealth countries, as the first branch opens in Kuala Lumpur.

You will handle inquiries, advise on study options, follow up on leads, and manage contracts and documents while building the local business from day one, with growth opportunities as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Around 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency.
• Experience sending students overseas (e.g. UK, Australia) is required.
• Proven sales track record and comfortable working with targets.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin (spoken) for daily work with the management team.
• English or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.

We are looking for Education Counsellor to join the pioneer team of a leading international education group as it opens its first branch in Kuala Lumpur.

This role is suitable for candidates with around 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency. You will help Malaysian students apply to universities overseas, mainly in the UK, Australia and other Commonwealth countries, and play a key part in building the local business from day one.

• Provide consultation on overseas study options, destinations and application pathways
• Follow up on leads and convert them into signed clients
• Manage service contract signing and collect client application documents
• Check documents for accuracy and completeness before handover to the documentation team
• Keep clients updated throughout the application process and maintain long-term relationships
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets

Requirements

• Around 2 years of sales or consulting experience at a study abroad agency
• Experience sending students overseas (e.g. UK, Australia) is required
• Proven sales track record and comfortable working with targets
