Job summary

Jabil is seeking an EDI specialist in Penang to implement and monitor EDI systems, map and translate data, and act as a liaison with internal users, vendors, and external partners on data exchange standards.

The role requires a solid IT background, experience with EDI systems, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and relevant experience are expected.

Qualifications

• EDI background with development
• Solid background in information systems technology and data interchange protocols
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline; several years IT experience; 3+ years with EDI systems administration, design, analysis and development
• Customer service and effective communication skills (verbal)
• Knowledge of operating systems (Microsoft, Unix)
• Understanding of object-oriented concepts and database objects
• Familiarity with software design methodologies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of SAP and IDOC processing
• Knowledge of EDI integration tools (Axway B2Bi, Axway CFT, IBM Sterling Integrator)
• Knowledge of EDI standards ANSI, EDIFACT, Rosettanet PIP 2.0
• API development experience (Mulesoft)

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor EDI systems including data mapping and translation
• Coordinate with internal users, vendors and external partners on data interchange standards
• Perform system testing and quality control checks
• Develop and maintain EDI documentation
