Jabil Circuit Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks an experienced AI/ML Engineer to develop and optimize edge AI models for embedded systems and IoT devices. You will quantize, prune, and integrate models with hardware; collaborate with cross-functional teams to define platform requirements and deployment strategies.

The role requires a strong background in ML concepts, DL architectures, and hands-on experience with edge hardware and cloud integration.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience in AI/ML development, with focus on edge computing or embedded systems.
• Proficiency in Python and C++.
• Experience with AI/ML frameworks like HailoRT, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch, ONNX Runtime, or similar.
• Strong understanding of ML concepts, DL architectures (CNNs, RNNs, Transformers), and optimization techniques.
• Experience with embedded systems development, Linux OS (Debian/Ubuntu) / Yocto, and hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART).
• Familiarity with edge AI hardware platforms (Raspberry Pi, Hailo, NVIDIA Jetson, AI accelerators).
• Experience with Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for model training and deployment is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Research, evaluate, and select AI/ML algorithms for edge deployment under computational constraints.
• Develop and optimize AI models for edge hardware platforms.
• Implement model quantization, pruning to reduce size and latency.
• Design software architectures to integrate AI models into embedded systems and IoT devices.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define edge platform requirements.
• Develop data pipelines for edge AI model training and validation.
• Perform rigorous testing, validation, and debugging of edge AI solutions.
• Monitor deployed edge AI models and perform updates and retraining.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software/hardware engineers, and product managers.
• Stay updated on edge computing, AI/ML, and embedded systems advancements.
• Document technical designs, development processes, and deployment procedures.
