Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking an Engineer, Ecosystem IP PM and Quality in Penang, Malaysia. You will qualify IP libraries across platforms, verify IP deliveries, and manage IP testing to ensure compatibility with PDK updates. Collaborate with external IP providers and internal teams to resolve issues and support customer deployment.

The role emphasizes QA methodology, regression testing, and maintaining IP documentation, with a focus on delivering high-quality IP for tape-out projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in Electrical/Electronics engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge in RTL to GDS flow, Analog simulation.
• Hands-on experience with industry CAD tools.
• Familiar with scripting/automation languages or AI tools.
• Proficient in layout design and DRC/DFM/LVS debugging.
• Experience with IP qualification and IP regression testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming IP QA against a predefined QA checklist and ensure cycle time.
• Issue certificate of approval when QA passes and certificate of non-conformance when QA fails.
• Qualify IP merge kit to support customer tape-out.
• Maintain IP information in IP database and IP Catalog.
• Define test cases for IP qualification and IP regression.
• Drive IP quality improvements and coordinate with stakeholders to closure.
• Support IP regression (DRC/LVS/DFM, PEX, Spice) against criteria.
• Document issues, waivers, and assessment reports.
• Support customer queries and contribute to audit readiness.
