Western Digital Corp. in Malaysia's Johor state is seeking an Early Career Manufacturing Engineering professional to design, develop, and maintain control systems and automation for our high‑volume production lines in Pasir Gudang.

The role includes troubleshooting PLC/SCADA/HMI issues, optimizing OEE, leading root cause analyses, supporting new equipment installation and validation, and documenting control logic and drawings in collaboration with engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in instrumentation/control, electrical engineering, mechatronics or related field.
• Strong foundation in instrumentation principles and control theory.
• Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and maintain control systems and automation for manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, sensors, drives, and instrumentation issues.
• Optimize machine performance, reliability, and OEE.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning and validation.
• Develop and update electrical drawings, control logic docs, SOPs.
• Coordinate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
