Job summary

SECAI MARCHE SDN. BHD. is seeking a Technical Product Development Manager for its e‑commerce platform in Malaysia. You will lead recommendations, personalization, and data‑driven enhancements, collaborating with Sales and Customer Success to convert customer needs into actionable features.

You will automate upsell/cross‑sell, improve retention, and analyze LTV, contributing to continuous improvement and multi‑service architectures with AI‑assisted coding workflows.

Qualifications

• Experience in e‑commerce product development, including implementing and operating recommendation, personalization, or targeting.
• Experience designing initiatives from data, shipping them as features, and measuring results.
• Experience collaborating with Sales and Customer Success to turn customer problems into features.
• Hands‑on experience building and improving a production system.
• Strong SQL: able to write analytical queries against a production database.
• Production experience on AWS (ECS, RDS, Lambda) and with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK; Terraform experience).
• Experience building and operating a system made of multiple cooperating services, including debugging cross-boundary issues.
• AI‑driven development experience: productive from day one in a workflow where code is written with AI coding tools (Claude Code).

Responsibilities

• Lead recommendation and personalization features on the e‑commerce platform, from planning through implementation.
• Automate upsell and cross‑sell, replacing manual work.
• Build retention data capture and retention actions into the platform.
• Identify gaps in purchase data and CRM (HubSpot) and drive enhancements.
• Establish measurement of results and a cycle of continuous improvement.
• Work closely with Sales and Customer Success teams to translate customer needs into features.
• Continuously analyze LTV and per‑customer contribution margin, and lead initiatives toward 4% improvement.
• Write analytical SQL queries against production databases to design and measure features.
• Build and operate systems made of multiple cooperating services, including web applications, asynchronous batch or queue processing, and external API integrations.
