Job summary

HERITAGE PJ SDN. BHD. invites passionate educators to join its team as Science, English, French, IPC, PE, and Lab Assistant teachers. The successful candidate will plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support student development.

Responsibilities include lesson planning, using varied teaching methods, assessing progress, collaborating with colleagues, and ensuring health and safety in the lab and PE activities.

Qualifications

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the relevant curriculum and learning objectives.
• Monitor, assess and record students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and appropriate support.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and the overall development of students.

Responsibilities

• Keep abreast with the latest teaching pedagogy and technologies to enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the relevant curriculum and learning objectives.
• Prepare appropriate teaching materials, resources, activities and assessments.
• Ensure that lessons and coursework are delivered in a timely manner and up to standard of an International School.
• Ensure effective classroom management, and implement disciplinary measures in accordance with the established school policies and regulations.
• Use a variety of instructional techniques and resources to enhance student learning.
• Monitor, assess and record students’ progress, providing constructive feedback and appropriate support.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed learning environment.
• Encourage active participation and develop students’ confidence, independence and critical-thinking skills.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and the overall development of students.
• For Science and Laboratory roles, assist with practical activities, prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and ensure appropriate health and safety procedures are followed.
• For PE roles, organise and supervise physical activities, sports and competitions while ensuring students’ safety. To also design and implement a comprehensive PE, CCA, ECA that promotes physical and social wellbeing among students.
• For PE roles, to act as a representative for the school in regional and national PE/CCA/ECA events and competitions, showcasing the school's commitment to excellence.
• Participate in school events, co-curricular activities, meetings and professional development programmes.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues, parents and other members of the school community.
• Carry out other duties and responsibilities as reasonably assigned by the school.
