Job summary

Tenby Schools Ipoh is seeking a qualified and experienced School Lab Assistant to oversee lab operations, enforce safety measures, and support students and staff during experiments to ensure a safe, conducive learning environment. The role requires a teaching qualification and 3 years of lab-related experience.

Fluency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and knowledge of laboratory safety protocols are essential.

Qualifications

Purpose of Role

We're seeking a qualified and experienced School Lab Assistant. The successful candidate will oversee lab operations, enforce safety measures, and support students and staff during experiments, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

To prepare laboratory equipment, ensure safety compliance, and assist during experiments, ultimately aiming to cultivate a secure, effective, and educational laboratory atmosphere for students.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
  • Possession of a relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Bachelor’s degree with a postgraduate qualification in teaching.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in laboratory-related work.
  • Proficiency in computer literacy with strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
  • An analytical thinker with a keen eye for detail.
  • Expertise in laboratory safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials and responding to emergencies.
