Job summary

Cloud Destinations Infotech is seeking an experienced Transmission Technical Support Engineer in Malaysia with strong DWDM and OTN expertise to join our engineering support team on a full-time basis. You will own fault resolution, alarm monitoring, and maintenance across high-capacity transmission networks, coordinating with operator customers, NOC, and field crews.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5+ years in telecommunications transmission engineering, technical support, or NOC operations.
• Hands-on DWDM and OTN expertise with multi-vendor experience.
• Experience fault troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and network operations.
• Strong collaboration with operator customers, NOC, and field engineering crews.
• Solid understanding of optical transmission principles and transport protocols.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management; able to handle incidents calmly.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level technical support and fault troubleshooting for DWDM, OTN, and high-capacity transmission networks.
• Monitor network operations and execute rapid incident resolution workflows to minimize service interruptions.
• Perform routine and corrective equipment maintenance, hardware diagnostics, and firmware patching.
• Coordinate with operator customers, NOC, and field crews during active incidents.
• Manage customer inquiries and project coordination tasks with clear communication.
• Support TM network deployment and integration projects, validating link performance and optical power budgets.
• Maintain incident logs and network configuration records.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols, escalation procedures, and quality benchmarks.
