Job summary

Deloitte Regional Capability in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Immigration Associate to join the mobility team. You will work with immigration specialists to deliver comprehensive mobility solutions, review documents, and manage administrative tasks.

You will stay updated on Malaysian immigration regulations, communicate with authorities and clients, handle escalations, prepare client reports, and assist in developing processes and tools to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Strong English and Bahasa Malaysia skills.
• Ability to handle high volume of work accurately.
• Good time management and integrity; confidentiality essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with immigration specialists to deliver mobility solutions.
• Review immigration documents and handle administrative tasks.
• Stay updated on Malaysia immigration regulations for compliance.

• Manage case status updates and escalate as needed.
• Prepare client/internal reports on expatriate assignments.
• Contribute to development of mobility processes and tools.
• Billing for mobility cases and review documents prepared by juniors.

Job description

Work closely with immigration specialists and other team members to deliver comprehensive mobility solutions, which include handling administrative tasks, immigration document review, logistics arrangement, document storing, etc.

Stay updated on changes in immigration regulations in Malaysia to ensure compliance and provide guidance to clients.

Communicate effectively with authorities, clients and internal stakeholders to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of mobility cases.

Implement and manage a risk check process to identify and assess potential compliance risks, ensuring all necessary safeguards are in place.

Have a clear overview on ongoing cases and manage escalations timely and professionally

Assist in preparing reports for clients and internal stakeholders, summarizing the status of expatriate assignments and compliance requirements.

Contribute to the development and enhancement of mobility processes and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Billing to client and other Deloitte member firms for mobility cases completed.

Review of emails, paperwork prepared by junior staffs.

Job Requirements:

Posses Bachelor of Degree (or equivalent) who are keen to explore immigration as a long-term career.

Good command in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Ability to handle a high volume of work with speed and accuracy.

Able to work with tight datelines and good time management skills.

High level of integrity and able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Ability to demonstrate familiarity using Microsoft Office applications.
