Job summary

CLT Contract Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Draughtsman to prepare and update precise technical drawings in line with project requirements and engineering standards.

You will produce 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, check dimensions and materials, and coordinate with engineers and site teams to incorporate feedback.

This role requires the ability to read drawings, stay organized, and meet deadlines while working both independently and with a project team.

Qualifications

• Certificate, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Experience preparing technical drawings; experience in civil / architecture / electrical / structural / relevant discipline is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit / SolidWorks / Inventor is a must.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise 2D drawings and, where required, 3D models using AutoCAD or relevant design software.
• Produce layouts, detail drawings, cutting plans, and other technical documentation for the relevant discipline.
• Check drawings for dimensions, materials, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.
• Prepare shop drawing if necessary, coordinate with engineers and project or site teams to incorporate feedback and resolve drawing queries.
• Prepare drawing list, maintain drawing registers, revisions, and document records, ensuring the latest approved versions are available.
• Prepare AS-built for operation and manual, support site measurements or inspections when required.
