Job summary

Rohas-Euco Industries Bhd. in Malaysia is seeking a Diploma/CAD Draughtsman to prepare detailed fabrication drawings for steel structures and towers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specs.

The role requires AutoCAD proficiency, 2–5 years in steel fabrication, reading engineering drawings, and willingness to work six days a week on shift; you will collaborate with engineers and production to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate/degree in drafting or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in steel structure or tower fabrication.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and structural details.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication, shop, assembly and erection drawings for steel structures and towers.
• Produce accurate plans, elevations, sections, details and connection details.
• Prepare cutting lists, material lists, BOMs and fabrication details.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specs and standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and supervisors to resolve drawing discrepancies.
• Prepare drawings practical for cutting, drilling, welding, and assembly.
• Support production by clarifying drawing-related issues.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to reflect inspection details in drawings.
• Maintain records of drawings and revisions.
• Conduct drawing checks before release to production.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed fabrication, shop, assembly and erection drawings for steel structures and towers when required.
• Produce accurate plans, elevations, sections, details, connection details and part drawings.
• Prepare cutting lists, material lists, BOMs and fabrication details as required.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved engineering drawings, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with engineers and fabrication supervisors to resolve drawing discrepancies and technical issues.
• Prepare drawings that are practical for cutting, drilling, welding, fit-up, fabrication and assembly when required.
• Support production team by clarifying drawing-related issues during manufacturing.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to ensure inspection requirements and relevant details are reflected in drawings.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions and related technical documents.
• Conduct drawing checks before release to production to minimize fabrication errors and rework.

Requirement Qualification

• Diploma / Certificate / Degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Typically 2–5 years of experience in steel structure, tower manufacturing, structural fabrication, or a similar environment.
• Experience with AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication and manufacturing processes is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and structural details.
• Willing to work 6 days per week and shift hours.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Advance Steel, SolidWorks, or similar 3D/structural detailing software.
• Knowledge of steel towers, monopoles, lattice towers, platforms, access ladders, handrails and supportstuctures.
• Understanding of fabrication tolerances and workshop practices.
• Good knowledge of BOM, material take-off, cutting plans, and nesting.
• Good attention to detail and ability to identify drawing errors.
• ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Good communications and coordination skills with engineering and production teams.
