Job summary

DOMINANT PRO VENTURES SDN BHD is seeking a motivated Draftsperson to join our team in Penang, Malaysia. The role involves checking construction drawings for discrepancies, coordinating architectural and structural drawings, and issuing updated drawings to subcontractors.

You will assist in site surveys, ensure drawings are available to site staff, and prepare method statements as required. The position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–6pm, and offers opportunities to grow with the project team.

Qualifications

• Check construction drawings for discrepancies across hardcopy and AutoCAD files.

Responsibilities

• Check all construction drawings for discrepancy (hardcopy and AutoCAD).
• Prepare working drawings (Concrete Building Plan and Brick Wall setting out Plan) by coordinating architectural and C&S drawings.
• Issue construction drawings to subcontractors and ensure latest version used for construction.
• Review specialist subcontractors' shop drawings.
• Ensure all relevant construction and shop drawings are available to site staff.
• Assist in site surveys (level survey and setting out) as required.
• Regularly check on-site construction dimensions and accuracy against plans.
• Prepare method statements and technical reports when required.
• Undertake any other duties as instructed by the superior.

Job Description, roles and responsibilities:

• 1) To check all construction drawings (hardcopy and AutoCad file) for discrepancy.
• 2) To prepare working drawings (Concrete Building Plan and Brick Wall setting out Plan) by coordinate architectural drawings and C&S drawings.
• 3) To issue construction drawings to subcontractors of all trades and ensure latest version used for construction.
• 4) To review for specialist subcontractors shop drawings.
• 5) To ensure all relevant construction drawings and shop drawings are made available to the site staff.
• 6) To assist in the site survey such as level survey and setting out is carried out accordingly.
• 7) To regularly check the site construction in terms of dimension and accuracy based on Concrete Building Plan and other shop drawings.
• 8) To prepare the various work method of statement, and technical report when required.
• 9) To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the superior.
