Job summary

Shell in Malaysia seeks an experienced technical trainer to build distributor capability and provide expert support on product applications. The role focuses on coaching DTAs and delivering training using Shell global modules, with strong emphasis on Value Led Selling and field coaching to grow technical skills in the distributor network.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 2–5 years in a technical lubricants/applications environment.
• Proven ability to develop technical competencies in B2B contexts.
• Experience with distributor management is a plus (e.g., DICE training).
• Fluent in English; knowledge of Chinese and Malay is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
• Experience in training and coaching in a commercial setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Build technical capability with go forward distributors (80%).
• Develop DTAs to specify Shell products for various applications and replacements.
• Provide training and field coaching using global Shell modules under the DVP program.
• Collaborate with IC Sales AM to maintain distributor relationships and identify opportunities.
• Promote use of Shell tools like Product Plus, LubeMatch and LubeAdvisor.
• Advise on equipment life and maintenance actions from oil analysis results.
