Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Logistics professional to lead material receiving, warehousing, cycle counting, issuing and distribution across the supply chain.

You will manage staff, ensure inventory accuracy, cooperate with customs, and drive cost control while maintaining compliance with quality systems.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Logistics/Transportation or related field, with strong SAP WMS knowledge and a track record in end-to-end warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• Experience with SAP WMS/IMS and typical warehouse systems.
• Strong people management and supervisory skills.
• 5+ years in distribution or warehouse/logistics operations.
• Ability to support shift work if required.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities related to material receiving, storing, cycle counting, issuing, dispatching, routing, tracking transportation and delivery.
• Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure objectives are met.
• Ensure inventory integrity and accuracy across warehouses.
• Investigate customer or shipper complaints and implement preventive measures.
• Obtain customs approvals for import/export and utilize FTAs where applicable.
• Manage performance of logistics service providers and contracts.
• Control and monitor freight costs and service levels.
• Collaborate to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals and objectives.
• Generate timely reports and metrics for management and authorities.
• Pursue continuous improvement for accuracy and productivity.
• Ensure staff training and certification and documentation.

This position will cover all activities related from receiving, warehousing, cycle count, issuance, shipping, Customs/trade compliance and physical distribution of material.

Key Responsibilities:

Direct activities related to material receiving, storing, cycle counting, issuing, dispatching, routing, tracking transportation and delivery in timely and error-free manner in accordance to approved procedure.

Plan, organize and manage the work of subordinate staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirements.

Ensure high degree of inventory integrity and accuracy.

Direct investigations to verify and resolve customer(internal and external) or shipper complaints and establish preventive measure.

Obtain Customs and relevant authorities approval for the importation and exportation of goods and utilize any applicable free trade agreement.

Manage the performance of logistics service provider.

Control and Monitor Freight Costs and service level.

Collaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

Generate accurate and timely measurable, report and metrics as required by management and authorities e.g. Customs.

Consistently look for continue improvement for the accuracy and productivity of the process.

Ensure employees are trained and certified in carry out the duty and training is documented.

Ensures all the activities comply with ethical standards and the internal Quality Management System.

Job Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Logistic/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.

Required skill(s): People management and supervisory skill, SAP WMS/IMS, problem solving, Kaizen and process improvement, inventory management, end-to-end warehouse operations management, quality management.

Preferably in Distribution or Warehouse/Logistics operation with at least 5 years of experience required.

Able to support shift work if business need require.
