Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Malaysia Berhad is seeking a Director/Team Leader for the Operations Planning Unit to lead the Planning Department and oversee BCM, outsourcing and TPRM, governance, and risk/compliance activities. The role ensures operational resilience, effective third‑party oversight, and adherence to regulatory requirements and SMBC Group standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, IT or related field.
8–10 years experience in banking operations or risk management.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; English required; Japanese a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead BCM framework development, maintenance and governance to ensure resilience and regulatory compliance.
Oversee outsourcing, insourcing and third‑party risk management, including due diligence and contract reviews.
Coordinate Operations Planning, governance, policy maintenance and DOA documentation across the bank.
Support BCO functions: risk registers, RCSA, KRIs, risk culture and regulatory engagement.
