Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field.
• 18+ years of experience in a multinational manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities

• Be part of the site leadership team and lead the engineering team to deliver cost effective service and capital project planning.
• Serve as the primary Engineering liaison for internal teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Control maintenance and engineering activities and deploy corrective actions to ensure compliant product.
• Direct site capital investment planning and project execution for on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Lead governance of Engineering safety and compliance in a safe, audit-ready workplace.
• Collaborate with global R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Science and Technology teams on strategies and projects.
• Navigate cGMP/ISO audits and regulatory inspections with a proactive compliance framework.

Our client is a leading global MNC who is looking for a dynamic, experienced and innovative Engineering Director for a large plant based in Johor Bahru.

Reporting into the Head of the Plant, your responsibilities will be as below.

Responsibilities:

• Be a part of the site leadership team and lead the engineering team to deliver a professional and cost effective service, while being responsible for capital project planning and management, equipment and facilities maintenance responsibility within a 24/7 operating environment.
• Serve as the primary Engineering liaison for internal teams, external clients, and regulatory bodies, aligning technical delivery with customer expectations and proactively resolving roadblocks.
• Effectively controlling maintenance and engineering activities by managing and deploying engineering resources, developing and implementing corrective actions plans when appropriate, to deliver highly compliant product in line with the agreed
• Direct site capital investment planning and project execution to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery that unlocks operational performance gains.
• Actively leading the governance of Engineering safety and compliance to deliver a safe and demonstrably controlled compliant workplace.
• Collaborate with global R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Science and Technology teams in developing strategies, lead projects, R&D initiatives, training and technical exchange.
• To successfully ensure cGMP/ISO compliance and navigate audits from authorities like the FDA, HSA, and HSE while aligning with Corporate Policy, you must implement a proactive, audit-ready operational framework

Successful Applicant:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field and having experience working in Semi-Conductor, high end automation, Pharmaceutical industry.
• Industry Experience: Minimum of 18 years of experience in a similar capacity within a multinational manufacturing plant.
• Must have lead teams and have introduced cutting edge technology to the plant in the past.
• You must have adequate knowledge to deal with global and local cross functional teams.
