Job summary

ALTEK MEDICAL SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced engineering leader to head the Malaysia plant’s engineering department, overseeing product development, trials, and production guidance.

You will drive process improvements, coordinate with R&D, design and manufacturing, and ensure smooth production system operation. The role requires at least 5 years in management in the medical device sector, strong communication in English and Bahasa Mandarin, and knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 13485.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma or Bachelor’s in Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in Medical Device Industry is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years in management or related roles.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Mandarin.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering department (PE, ME) at the Malaysia plant.
• Drive new product development, trial production, production guidance, and process improvements.
• Coordinate cross-department to ensure effective communication on product development projects.
• Collaborate with R&D, design, and manufacturing teams for successful product launches.
• Ensure smooth operation and optimization of production systems, line maintenance, and equipment upkeep.
• Participate in process improvement and technical management of production lines.
• Design and implement manufacturing processes for new products.
• Support customer service with technical inquiries and issue resolution.
• Monitor service performance and implement improvements based on feedback.

Job description

1. Leading Engineering department (PE,ME) in Malaysia plant.

2. Responsible for new product development plans, involves the introduction and production of new products, trial production arrangements, production guidance, analysis and elimination of on-site abnormal problems, improvement of production processes, and improvement of product performance and structure.

3. Cross-department coordination to ensure efficient and effective communication on products development projects.

4. Collaborate with stakeholders, including R&D, design, and manufacturing teams, to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

5. Ensure smooth operation and optimization of production systems. This includes responsible on production line maintenance, instrument and equipment repair and maintenance, production system design optimization and maintenance, production capacity calculation and planning.

6. Required participates in process improvement and technical management of production lines.

7. Responsible in product design and implementation of product manufacturing processes.

8. Collaborate with customer service teams to address technical inquiries, resolve issues, and provide effective solutions.

9. Monitor service performance, analyze customer feedback, and implement improvements to enhance service quality.

Requirements:

1. Candidate MUST possess at least Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering(Electronics) or equivalent.

2. Experienced in Medical Device Industry will be great advantage.

3. Minimum 5 years’ management or relevant experiences are preferred.

4. Good interpersonal and communication skill.

5. Good oral and written skills in English and Bahasa Mandarin.

6. Good understanding of ISO 9001 & ISO 13485
