Job summary

Mattel Development and Tooling Sdn Bhd is seeking a 3D Modeler to create toy-focused CAD models per engineer input, ensuring quality and schedule adherence. You will handle analysis of parts, generate visuals for designer reviews, and prepare objects for final release.

Qualifications

• Minimum Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Good knowledge of CAD, preferred Creo & Freeform.
• Strong interpersonal skills & self-motivated.
• At least 1 year working experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D models focusing on basic toys meeting product quality specifications.
• Work efficiently and adhere to established timelines.
• Run analysis for each project to calculate part weight and interference.
• Generate 2D images, Blue Channeling & Quick Time VR for reviews.
• Prepare OBJET model for review and final release.
• Provide curve line for mold split and EDM texture.
• Convert digital files to required formats and upload to Windchill.
• Maintain and update Design STD, Digital Library and Learning Corner.

Job description

To perform 3D modeling per engineer's input, MDT standards and assembly that fulfills company (quality, schedule and cost) while integrating the needs of design and mold/product manufacturing departments.

Key responsibilities

Create 3D models (focus mainly on Basic toys) that meeting product quality specifications/standards, product/tooling target

Work efficiently and adhere to the established timeline/schedules

Run analysis function for each project to calculate part weight, interference etc.

Generate 2D image files, Blue Channeling & Quick Time VR for Designer & Licensor review

Prepare OBJET model for review & Final Release

Provide curve line for mold split and EDM texture

Convert the digital files to appropriate format prior release or as per requested

Save the project's digital files to server & upload to Windchill

Participate in updating the Design STD, Digital Library, Samples Library, Visual Display Board & Learning Corner

Adhere to intellectual property protection protocols

Requirements
