Job summary

Intel Corporation in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Student/Intern to participate in training, design, and development of next-generation SoCs using AI. The role involves DFT methodology development, CAD-based simulation, and automation of design flows within Siemens-like environments.

The position requires a current bachelor’s or master’s student in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with strong English communication and knowledge of Unix, System Verilog, and VLSI concepts.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a BSc in EE/CE/CS or MSc in EE/CE/CS.
• Good communication skills and English proficiency are required.
• Knowledge of Unix, VLSI design, SOC/PC architecture, System Verilog and DFT methodologies is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and develop new DFT test methods to meet specifications and screen silicon defects.
• Assist DFT engineers with implementation of defined DFT architecture.
• Extensively use CAD tools to simulate logic behavior and circuit performance.
• Understand VLSI design methods and automate design flows.
• Develop AI capabilities for DFT tasks, including agent-based AI flows.
