Job summary

GenCode is seeking a Cloud & DevOps Engineer in Malaysia to design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure across major platforms. You will automate builds, deployments, and release processes while supporting development teams and optimizing costs.

Responsibilities include managing production environments, enforcing security controls, and participating in ISO 27001 audits. Strong experience with AWS/AliCloud, Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, Ansible is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, or System Administration.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms such as Alibaba Cloud or Azure.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD, Linux/Windows servers, databases, networking and application deployment.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible or similar technologies is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) is an advantage.
• Good understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity is an advantage.
• Knowledge or experience with ISO 27001 / ISMS is an advantage.
• Experience supporting security audits, compliance audits or providing technical audit evidence is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform cloud resource optimisation and infrastructure cost management.
• Maintain appropriate cloud architecture, configurations and operational standards.
• Support infrastructure scalability and capacity planning for new and existing applications.
• Implement infrastructure and deployment automation to reduce manual operational activities.
• Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform, CloudFormation or equivalent where appropriate.
• Implement and maintain system monitoring, logging, alerting and performance management.
• Monitor system availability, performance and resource utilisation.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Establish and improve operational procedures to reduce recurring incidents and downtime.
• SupportDevSecOps practices and ensure infrastructure follows GenCode's security requirements.

• Support internal and external audits by providing required infrastructure information, evidence and records.
• Assist in addressing audit findings, non-conformities and corrective actions within the assigned areas.
• Ensure infrastructure and operational practices remain aligned with approved security policies, procedures and controls.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery processes for critical systems and infrastructure.

Requirements:
