Job summary

GENCODE SDN BHD is seeking a DevOps/Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application development and deployment.

You will automate build, test, deployment, and release processes, while managing development, testing, staging, and production environments and implementing standard deployment practices. The role covers cloud infrastructure across AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or approved platforms, with performance monitoring and cost optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant DevOps/Cloud Engineering experience.
• Hands-on with AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or Azure.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, Linux/Windows servers, databases, networking, and deployment.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.

Job description

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application development and deployment.

Automate build, testing, deployment, and release processes.

Manage development, testing, staging, and production environments.

Establish standard deployment and release management practices.

Manage GenCode’s cloud infrastructure across

AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or other approved platforms.

Monitor infrastructure capacity, performance, availability, and resource utilization.

Support servers, databases, networking, storage, and other infrastructure components.

Optimize cloud resources and infrastructure costs.

3. Automation & System Reliability

Implement infrastructure and deployment automation to reduce manual operational activities.

Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where appropriate.

Implement system monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management.

Troubleshoot infrastructure and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.

4. Security & Business Continuity

Support DevSecOps practices and ensure infrastructure follows GenCode’s security requirements.

Manage access controls, system configurations, certificates, and security-related activities.

Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity requirements.

Work with cybersecurity teams to address vulnerabilities and security risks.

5. Application & Project Support

Work closely with developers to support application deployment, server, database, and integration issues.

Ensure infrastructure and environments are ready for project implementation and production go-live.

Support infrastructure requirements for AI, data, digital transformation, and enterprise solutions.

Assist in technical evaluation and implementation of new cloud and DevOps technologies.

Coordinate with cloud providers, technology vendors, and external partners where required.

Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, system configurations, and operational runbooks.

Provide technical support and knowledge sharing to internal teams.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

3–6 years of relevant experience

in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, or System Administration.

Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, or Azure.

Good knowledge of CI/CD, Linux/Windows servers, databases, networking, and application deployment.

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies is an advantage.

Good troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with developers, project teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
