Job summary

SUN MEGA TIMBER SDN BHD invites applications for an Account Assistant to support daily accounting operations with a focus on Sales and Service Tax (SST) management and compliance. You will maintain SST records, verify registration details and assist with reconciliation and reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field, has good Excel skills, and can communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
• Knowledge of Malaysian SST requirements and documentation is preferred.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are welcome to apply.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tax records.

Responsibilities

• Manage SST-registered suppliers and customers records.
• Verify SST details including registration, exemption status and supporting documents.
• Monitor SST exemption balances and ensure proper utilization.
• Assist SST reconciliation, reporting and documentation for audits.
• Support general accounting duties, data entry and filing.
• Coordinate with internal departments on SST matters.
