Overview

Our client is a leading and highly successful technology company in the automotive sector, currently boasting a market capitalization of approximately MYR 500 million. As they embark on an ambitious and structured growth plan to double their valuation, they are seeking a strategic operator to partner with the CEO and drive this critical phase of expansion. The company is renowned for its innovative platform and dominant market position.

The Role: Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Our client is seeking a Deputy CEO with a proven, profit-driven mindset to be the cornerstone of their growth execution strategy. The primary mandate for this role is to operationalize the corporate strategy and be directly accountable for driving the company's market capitalization towards MYR 1 Billion.

This individual will be a true partner to the CEO, focusing intensely on operational excellence, financial performance, and scaling business units with clear P&L accountability. Experience in a large corporate or public-listed company (PLC) environment is essential to navigate this complexity and deliver disciplined growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Growth & Value Creation: Execute the strategic plan to significantly increase shareholder value and achieve the market cap target. Identify and leverage key value drivers within the business.
  • P&L Management: Take direct ownership and oversight of multiple business units or verticals, each with its own P&L. Drive revenue growth, optimize cost structures, and maximize profitability across all segments.
  • Corporate & Financial Discipline: Institute best-in-class corporate governance, financial controls, and reporting mechanisms befitting a large-scale organization. Prepare the organization for the rigors of being a PLC, if not already.
  • Operational Scaling: Design and implement scalable operational processes to support rapid growth without compromising on efficiency or quality. Lead key operational functions such as Sales, Marketing, Operations, or Finance.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Employ a rigorous, analytical approach to all business decisions. Utilize data to identify new profit pools, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational metrics.
  • Investor Relations & Strategy: Support the CEO and CFO in investor communications, ensuring the market understands the company\'s growth story and financial performance. Play a key role in strategic financings or M&A activities.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • A proven track record of managing multiple, complex P&Ls within a fast-growing technology company.
  • Demonstrable experience in a senior leadership role within a Public Listed Company (PLC) is highly preferred.
  • An unwavering profit-driven and results-oriented mindset, with a history of directly contributing to significant valuation growth.
  • Exceptional financial acumen, with deep experience in corporate finance, strategic planning, and operational budgeting.
  • Strong analytical skills and a commitment to data-driven management.
  • The ability to operate strategically at the board level while also being hands-on in driving operational execution.
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff is welcome to apply too.
