Job summary

Gold Coin Sarawak Sdn. Bhd. seeks a depot operator to manage a feed storage depot, ensuring cleanliness and proper stacking for safety and quality. You will handle FIFO, assist in receiving and sales checks, and operate forklifts as required to support efficient stock flow.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, inventory accuracy, and routine stock counts, within a manufacturing/agribusiness setting in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of relevant work experience in feed storage or related logistics duties.
• Familiarity with manufacturing, transport and logistics operations is preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and safety guidelines strictly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain depot cleanliness and storage conditions for feed.
• Ensure space for incoming feed and salvage spills promptly.
• Stack bagged feed on clean, dry pallets, protected from sunlight and contaminants.
• Limit stack to 42 bags per pallet and max 3 pallets high.
• Label stack cards and ensure proper placement.
• Assist with receiving and sales checks of feed.
• Operate forklift for loading/unloading of finished goods (FG) and raw materials (RM).
• Maintain FIFO for all stacked feed used in sales.
• Participate in monthly stock counts and inventory improvement projects.
• Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Job description

This role involves managing and maintaining a feed storage depot to ensure optimal conditions for feed storage and handling. You will be responsible for depot cleanliness, feed stacking, inventory management, and equipment operation.

Key responsibilities

Ensure the cleanliness of the depot that is fit for feed storage

Ensure there is sufficient space for the incoming feed and salvage any spillages immediately

Ensure bagged feed is stacked on clean and dry wooden pallets, protected from direct sunlight, rain, mites, rodents and other contaminants that might be harmful to the end user animals

Ensure each pallet shall not stack over 42 bags of bagged feed and not more than 3 pallets high

Ensure stack cards are properly labeled and correctly placed

Assist physical checks of feed during receiving and sales

Operate forklift for loading/unloading of FG/RM as required

Ensure FIFO system for all stacked feed for sales

Involve in monthly stock count and Inventory Improvement Project

Ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are adhered to
