Job summary

PMG Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. in Miri, Sarawak, invites a qualified Dentist to join our practice on a full-time basis.

You will deliver comprehensive oral healthcare, diagnose dental problems, perform preventive procedures, and manage restorations while maintaining high professional standards. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry, proficiency in Malay, English and Mandarin, and proven clinical experience in general dentistry.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients' teeth and gums to diagnose dental problems.
• Perform preventative procedures including cleanings and fluoride treatments.
• Fill cavities and restore tooth decay with appropriate materials.
• Extract teeth when necessary and manage post-extraction care.
• Create and fit crowns, bridges, dentures and other prosthetics.
• Administer local anaesthetics and manage pain control.
• Take and interpret dental radiographs and imaging.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventative care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation.
• Collaborate with hygienists and team to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control and sterilisation protocols.
• Stay current with advancements and engage in CPD.

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Dentist to join PMG Healthcare Sdn. Bhd. at our practice in Riam, Miri, Sarawak. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to provide high-quality dental care to our patients whilst contributing to our growing healthcare practice. As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive oral healthcare services and maintaining the professional standards that our patients expect and deserve.

What you'll be doing

Examining patients' teeth and gums to diagnose dental problems and diseases

Performing preventative dental procedures including cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants

Filling cavities and treating tooth decay using appropriate restorative materials

Extracting teeth when necessary and managing post-extraction care

Creating and fitting crowns, bridges, dentures and other dental prosthetics

Administering local anaesthetics and managing patient pain control

Taking and interpreting dental radiographs and other diagnostic imaging

Educating patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care

Maintaining accurate patient records and treatment documentation

Collaborating with dental hygienists and other team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Adhering to all infection control protocols and sterilisation procedures

Staying current with advancements in dental practice and continuing professional development

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Dentistry or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution

Proficiency in Malay, English and Mandarin language

Proven clinical experience in general dentistry practice

Strong knowledge of dental procedures, techniques and best practices

Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail

Ability to communicate effectively with patients and explain procedures clearly

Compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to minimising discomfort

Strong organisational and time management skills

Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team

Knowledge of dental practice management and patient record systems

Willingness to engage in continuing professional development and training

Experience with digital dentistry tools and modern dental equipment is advantageous
