Job summary

Private Advertiser in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, is hiring a Demand & Supply Planning Executive to optimise our supply chain. The role focuses on aligning demand forecasting with supply management, ensuring product availability and balanced inventory.

You will work with procurement, operations, and logistics to place orders, monitor shipments, and generate reports using ERP and planning systems.

Qualifications

• A relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, procurement, or related function.
• Strong proficiency with SCM software, ERP systems, and Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends.
• Sound understanding of demand forecasting and inventory management principles.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing multiple planning scenarios and data sets.
• Problem-solving capability and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics.
• Preferred FMCG, food & beverage, or distribution logistics experience.
• Familiarity with demand planning tools would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
• Place, track, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely replenishment and order fulfillment.
• Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and related import/export documents.
• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure smooth inbound shipments and timely deliveries.
• Monitor inventory performance, identify potential stock shortages or overstock situations, and implement corrective actions.
• Communicate inventory risks, shipment delays, and supply issues proactively to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier claims and credit note requests for damaged, rejected, or short-delivered products.
• Support promotional planning by aligning inventory requirements with sales forecasts and campaign timelines.
• Generate supply chain, inventory, and fulfillment reports while maintaining data accuracy in ERP and planning systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve operational issues, drive process improvements, and ensure high customer service levels.

About the roleWe are seeking a Demand & Supply Planning Executive to join us in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. As a Demand & Supply Planning Executive, you will be instrumental in driving efficiency across our logistics and distribution operations, supporting the company's commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers. This role is pivotal in balancing inventory levels, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that our supply chain operates at peak performance.

What you'll be doing...

Manage demand forecasting and supply planning to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.

Place, track, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely replenishment and order fulfillment.

Prepare, review, and manage shipping documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, and related import/export documents.

What we're looking for is someone who has...

A relevant diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, procurement, or a related supply chain function

Strong proficiency with supply chain management (SCM) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and Microsoft Excel

Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends

Sound understanding of demand forecasting methodologies and inventory management principles

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders

Attention to detail and accuracy in managing multiple planning scenarios and data sets

Problem-solving capability and the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including procurement, operations, and logistics

Proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and process improvement

Preferred experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), food and beverage, or distribution logistics sectors

Familiarity with demand planning tools or advanced forecasting software would be advantageous
