Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Demand Planning Data Scientist to build predictive models and deliver insights for demand forecasting that guide inventory and supply plans. You will partner with IBP demand planners to generate reliable forecasts and coordinate demand reviews to improve customer outcomes.

Responsibilities include developing statistical forecasts, evaluating deviations, generating analytical insights, and communicating gains across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science or related field.
• Typically 1–2+ years of data science experience.
• Extensive knowledge in predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis.
• Proficiency in Python, R or SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop statistical forecasts and predictive models for product orders across geographies.
• Collaborate with Demand Planners to generate reliable forecasts and influence inventory plans.
• Conduct root cause analysis on forecast deviations and performance metrics.
• Generate analytical insights and design experiments to validate model improvements.
• Communicate analytical gains to business functions to enable adoption.
• Create and validate models suitable for production use with scalable analytics.
• Identify data science opportunities and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
