Job summary

Everrise Departmental Store Sdn Bhd in Kuching is seeking a Lorry Attendant to assist with loading and unloading of goods, ensure proper handling during transport and delivery, and check quantity and condition of goods as they are moved.

You will support drivers and the DC team, manage delivery documents, and report shortages or damage. The role requires a responsible, punctual, and disciplined individual who can work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a lorry attendant / warehouse assistant is an advantage.
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime when required.
• Possession of a valid driving license is an advantage but not compulsory for this position.
• Responsible, punctual and disciplined.
• Able to work well with the driver and DC team.
• Good attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist the driver with loading and unloading of goods.
• Ensure goods are properly handled during transportation and delivery.
• Check the quantity and condition of goods during loading and unloading.
• Assist in arranging goods according to the delivery sequence / outlet.
• Assist with delivery and collection of goods from outlets, suppliers and other designated locations.
• Ensure delivery documents are properly handled and returned to the DC.
• Report any shortage, damage, rejected goods or delivery issues to the driver / supervisor.
• Assist the driver with safe parking, reversing and loading / unloading where required.
• Maintain cleanliness and good condition of the vehicle and loading area.
• Follow all transport, warehouse and safety SOPs.
